Francis Gélinas graduated from the N.A.D. center in video game design, from the Cégep de Maisonneuve in Multimedia Integration Techniques, and from Concordia University in Fine Arts with a major in animation cinema. He has been working in the animation and cinema field for over 16 years. Initially an animator, then an Artistic Director and Director at Moment Factory, he founded his own company (couleur.tv) in 2006.
He experiments with animation in all its forms: stop motion, 2D animation, 3D animation, and scenic projections. He has directed animation web series, projection shows in theme parks, and worked on hundreds of commercial projects for clients such as: Igloofest, Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec, Coca Cola, ONF, Felix & Paul Studios, Moment Factory, Ubisoft, Sid Lee, 4U2C, to name a few.
His personal films have been awarded in festivals around the world and his work in television (Bébéatrice on Radio-Canada, On parle de sexe on Télé Québec) has received praise from the industry and his peers. His work can be seen on Unis and TV5 in the television series Les Mimistoires, on TFO and tou.tv as well.
