What lead to the creation of this piece?
The roots of this project are the confrontation for my family and me with the fullscale invasion in Ukraine.
In the stadium of loss and powerlessness, we were going through layers of heavy experiences and emotions.
What always stayed is the mindset and mantra:
«Все буде добре«
„everything will be fine.“
„Alles wird gut“
This phrase kept us together and still gives us hope and empowerment for the community.
In a solidarity soundtrack for Ukraine to fundraise money, my friend “dolph” and I were creating a soundtrack based on the words and states of „все буде добре».
As always, music connects people and helps out in heavy times.
So this kind of artistic exploring is also a kind of empowering, connecting, and resisting in a way I have never felt before.
To make this experience more immersive, I decided to use the Fulldome format. Here, the viewers are invited to be inside the world of sound and animations to get in touch with the situations and feelings where you just get lost in but need to keep on going and hold on.
This work is a love call for my community, family, and friends. It’s a reminder of our connections and powers. Being together and in love during these times is the most empowering form of resistance.
So, thank you all for being with me.
What was the production process like for you and your team? What did you learn?
The process was quite personal and in the middle of my family. I produced everything hand-drawn or by myself. The soundtrack was made with my friend “dolph” also in a very personal space. Everything is diy.
I learned to express myself while being lost. I have learned that the character ShuShu is a protective shield and helps me to express myself.
I have also learned to do my first full-dome animation on my own.

How did you become an immersive content creator and why?
I am a student of media art and design at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. I have started with audio and quickly started to animate sound. From then on, I have focused completely on immersion and fulldome.
What is the VR/AR industry like in your region?
I live in a town with the oldest Planetarium in the world, “Zeiss Planetarium Jena.” I have also worked there and visited/been part of the full-dome festival there. It is a place for international meetings and celebrations.
What do you have planned for the future?
I am working as an art director on a group project for a full-dome production about FLINTA perspectives, safe spaces, and cosmic worlds. Also, I am working in the fields of AR, VR, and would love to create an XR festival in my region.

What would like to share with fellow content creators and/or the industry?
I would love to get connected with other FLINTA and queer artists. I would love to produce in the gaze of Flintas and queers and make the tech scene of XR more diverse.
Do you think VR festivals like FIVARS are important?
I think these kinds of events are necessary for the scene, and especially for newcomers and people from marginalized backgrounds. As I mentioned, I would love to start an XR festival in Jena too.
OPIR*withShuShu* will screen in the FIVARS online dome theater.
