Maisha West

Maisha West is a dedicated Public Scholar who bridges the worlds of teaching, research, and activism. Their work specializes in Black Diasporic Gothic and Horror, racial representation in Gothic literature and horror film, and the socio-political use of Gothic and horror tropes in conversations about race. Put simply, they examine how fiction and society often reduce real people to figures of monstrosity.
