
Stephanie Tripp is a digital media scholar, artist, and associate professor of communication at the University of Tampa. Her scholarly and creative work investigates community identity, collective memory, and knowledge legitimation in the digital age. Her recent immersive media projects, which explore the sacred dimensions of places familiar to her, have appeared online in The Future of Reality exhibition organized by SIGGRAPH-DAC and in the Electronic Literature Organization’s ELO Unlinked 2024 exhibition.
Her VR work has appeared in gallery exhibitions organized by the University Film and Video Association, the International Digital Media Arts Association, and Northeastern University. She and her husband and creative collaborator, Thomas Cohen, live with their two cats in Tampa and spend their summers in the Adirondack hamlet of Westport, NY.
