The Tent

Directed by:

Rory Mitchell

Runtime:

22:00

When a woman discovers a mysterious tent has appeared in her front yard, she begins to question the meaning of activism and our shared humanity. “The Tent” is an Augmented Reality narrative and a glimpse of the future of Spatial entertainment.

A modern fairy-tale set in Los Angeles, “The Tent” looks at the fraught relationship between the housed and the unhoused and the interpersonal social dynamics of activism with humor and heart.

A 22-minute experience in two parts for iPadPro, it allows the audience to explore a miniature world from any perspective. Built with volumetric video and photogrammetry, it is essentially a movie that the audience can walk around in. Without a headset.

It’s a drama. It’s a satire. It’s a petite bourgeoise fever dream and a fable for society.
