GHOSTS IN THE MACHINE; THE OLD ZOO is a mobile app and augmented reality (AR) experience from immersive creator Koryn Wicks. It combines AR, mobile gaming, and storytelling to take users on a unique journey to “the Otherside.”
During the experience, users will encounter Phoebe, an amateur medium who has crossed over. Phoebe can’t remember how or why she ended up in another realm, she needs your help to make sense of it all. On your journey you’ll encounter and interact with ghosts and uncover the history of the Old Zoo.

Koryn Wicks
Koryn Wicks is an immersive creator, choreographer, and multimedia artist. Her work integrates dance, theater and interactive media. In 2019, she won the Grand Prize at the LA Immersive Invitational. Her immersive work has also been featured in Slamdance, the Denver Film Festival, and the Ampersand Arts Festival. Koryn’s work has been presented throughout the U.S., Canada and internationally. She also choreographs for film, television and music videos, recently including an ABC pilot and a music video for the billboard topping artist SHAED. Koryn has taught dance and immersive performance at CalArts and other institutions throughout California. Koryn recently began working in themed entertainment starting with a contract at The Bezark Company.
