Joseph Rouleau: Final Encore is an immersive animated biopic based on the archives of opera singer Joseph Rouleau. Through a posthumous conversation with director Émilie Rosas, the work aims to dust off the world of opera and reveal Joseph Rouleau, a great pioneer of Quebec opera. The installation tells his story by revisiting his personal archives, memoirs and greatest solos.

Colas Wohlfahrt

With a background in both documentary and interactive design, and a recent degree from MIT in leadership and innovation, Colas now applies his experience at the crossroads of art direction and user experience to a variety of projects. As an interactive designer and director, Colas' expertise lies between the technical and the creative: he takes advantage of being the link between stories, technologies and resources to creatively guide the production of all kinds of interactive projects such as virtual and augmented reality, museum installations, participatory theater, podcasts and interactive documentaries and fiction.

Émilie Rosas

Originally from Montreal, Emilie Rosas began studying film at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2007, then at L'inis (Institut National de l'Image et du Son) in 2010. In 2011, she received the PNA grant from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. Her short films include Les cennes chanceuses, Les bons termes selon Dewey and Comme les dinosaures, all of which have won several awards at Canadian and international festivals. She is currently working on several feature film projects, including L'univers me comprend et m'engloutit, Cheer, Le vaisseau des tempêtes, a 3D animated film, and a virtual reality documentary on opera singer Joseph Rouleau.
