Alien Rescue combines aspects of immersive virtual reality, cinematic storytelling, live theater, video games, and role playing in order to give you an experience like nothing you have ever had before. In Alien Rescue, there is no ‘audience’; everyone plays a role, with five professional actors leading the way during this live, seventy minute sci-fi action/adventure. Director Bio:

Jason MooreJason Moore is the creator and director of The MetaMovie Presents: Alien Rescue, an award-winning cutting edge live Virtual Reality experience that combines elements of cinema, video games, live theater and role playing. Alien Rescue made its World Premiere at the 2021 Raindance Immersive Festival, where it won Best Multiplayer Experience and was nominated for Most Immersive Game. Prior to the premiere, Alien Rescue was invited to the 2020 Venice Biennale as a work in progress, where it won a FanHeart Award.

Moore is a cross-platform writer, producer and director with twenty five years of experience working in film, theater, television and virtual reality. He holds a B.F.A in Theater Arts and an M.F.A. in Film Directing, both from the University of California, Los Angeles.

His films Paradise, Nebraska, American Seoul, and Animals have won multiple awards and been screened in over sixty film festivals. Paradise, Nebraska was distributed to multiple national and international television outlets including The Sundance Channel. He has directed television commercials internationally, working with DraftFCB, BBDO, DDB, and Lowe for brands including McDonalds, Toyota, Beeline and Gambrinus. His broadcast television directing credits include Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew on Discovery, Who Gets the Dog on Animal Planet, Hooked Up with Tom Colicchio on The Conversation Channel, and more.

In December 2021, XRMust Magazine awarded Alien Rescue “Best VR Experience of the Year”. In June, 2022, Moore and his troupe celebrated the 50th live performance of Alien Rescue with a major update to the project and an extended run of Summer performances. Recently, Alien Rescue was nominated for Best VR Experience of the Year at the 2022 VR Awards.

Moore is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of International Extended Reality.
