The Severance Theory: Welcome to Respite is a fully interactive narrative VR experience featuring live, theatrical performance with all characters played in real-time by live, professional actors. This unique experience lives at the intersection of cinema, immersive theatre, and video game design. The story allows you to step into the shoes of Alex, who struggles with Dissociative Identity Disorder (D.I.D.), as they’re immersed in a forgotten childhood memory, returning home to their parents after a prolonged period of separation. There, they journey through their past on a path to healing and understanding.
Welcome home, Alex.
